The Community
Marina Hills Planned Community Association is a master planned community of 1,538 single family residences on a 96-acres of land within the city of Laguna Niguel, California. The community is home to eleven neighborhoods: Amarante, Bel Fiore, Cabo del Mar, Chandon, Encore, Monaco, Palacio, Siena, Terracina, The Heights and Vistara. These beautiful homes were originally built by Taylor-Morrison Homes, today known as Taylor-Woodrow Homes, beginning in 1988 thru the early 1990s with the final homes built in 1995. The concept of the community developer was to focus on open-space and parks, as well as a wide array of amenities.
Laguna Niguel was established as the 29th city in Orange County, California in December 1989. Nestled a few miles inland of the Pacific Coast, between Monarch Beach towards the south and Laguna Beach towards the north, the weather is sunny and mid-tempered nearly year-round. The city is served by the Capistrano Valley United School District with many distinguished public schools in the area. A variety of dining options, from casual bites to fine-dining, Laguna Niguel offers many delicious restaurants with an assortment of cuisine. Local attractions include shopping at Mission Viejo Mall (about 4 miles NE) and San Clemente Outlets (about 10 miles S) and many luxury resorts, including Ritz Carlton: Laguna Niguel, Waldorf Astoria: Monarch Beach and Montage: Laguna Beach. Soak up the beautiful Southern California sunshine at local nature attractions such as, Laguna Niguel Regional Park (about 3 miles N) and Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park (about 4 miles NW) for great hiking and biking trails. You can also go fishing down at Laguna Niguel Regional Park or at the Dana Point Harbor (about 5 miles S). There is so much to do in Laguna Niguel, “The Jewel of South County”.
Marina Hills Community offers many beautiful facilities that residents are welcome to enjoy. The entrance to the community welcomes residents and visitors with beautiful, landscaped slopes and gorgeous fountains, all located in various focal areas. A clubhouse with a full-kitchen and fireplace are adjacent to the pool area which features a 75 ft. Junior Olympic size swimming pool, wader and spa, as well as showers and restrooms. There are also barbeque areas, six tennis courts and pickleball courts available. There are several parkways throughout the community that capture the beauty of surrounding open space. A walking path off Parc Vista (near Minori) leads down to Salt Creek Trail; this trail is 4 miles leading all the way to Salt Creek Beach. There are two parks in the community: Marina Hills Park and Parc Vista Park, that belong to and are maintained by the city of Laguna Niguel. Marina Hills Park, located off Marina Hills Drive, features many additional facilities: two grass soccer fields, two basketball courts (one half and one full), three bocce ball courts, four picnic tables, a play structure (with wood chips), a sand pit and two regular swings. Parc Vista Park features a playground a lots of open grass area with extensive views of the surrounding hills.
